Uniform squash, with very sweet pulp that maintains its consistency for a long time
With its elongated “peroidal” shape with a typical beige-brown color and smooth surface, it has the advantage of bringing the seeds together in a single area.
From a nutritional point of view, butternut squash provides few calories, only 45 calories for every 100 grams. It does not contain saturated fats and cholesterol and is rich in fibre, vitamins and flavonoids. Contains mineral salts such as iron, zinc, copper, calcium, potassium and phosphorus.
Finally, it is considered a natural antioxidant and can be used for soups, tarts, cream soups and jams, but also risottos, thanks to its sweet, soft and buttery pulp and a flavor reminiscent of hazelnuts.
If you look carefully, you will notice that the pumpkins have a very dense texture, a rich weave of warm and enveloping colors that creates a perfect combination of flavor and character.
Our story began when grandfather Florindo, a farmer and producer in the production and sale of pumpkins, founded the business in 1961. As a hard worker, he passed down his love for roots, substance and practicality; he taught respect for the environment and people by leading the company until entrusting it to his son Massimo Restani.
Massimo brought value to the family business, carefully specializing in the sector until he became one of the greatest connoisseurs of pumpkins in Italy. He is able to trace every single pumpkin with passion and precision, in such a careful and detailed way that you get lost in his stories and remain fascinated by them.
Forerunners of this extraordinary vegetable, the Restani family arrives today with respect to the third generation bringing a more refined, modern and contemporary contribution, that of the two sisters Michela and Elisa Restani.
