The History
In 2016, the Guglielmi family, with over 50 years of experience in the organic olive growing sector, re-founded the Riserva Sant ’Agostino with the desire to give life to a high-quality project in Lazio, a region with extraordinary agricultural traditions. La Riserva is in the heart of the Maremma Laziale, dominating the fertile and sunny plain of Tuscia. Its original owner, the Marquis Giacinto Guglielmi (1923-2011), an agricultural entrepreneur who has always been active in the area. Today the Reserve is both an agricultural and a natural area of over 500 hectares.
The Organic Farming Extra Virgin Olive Oil
The typical rustic style: yet, so refined of the extra virgin olive oils of this part of the Mediterranean Sea it goes well with a taste appreciated by all. Our philosophy is to produce very characteristic oils, mainly mono varietal from native olive trees. Balance and elegance are the stylistic aspects that best distinguish the company’s extra virgin olive oils.
Sandy, mineral, fertile soils give character, structure and elegance to our Extra Virgin Olive Oils”
The Riserva Sant’Agostino is an agricultural and natural area of over 500 hectares, it constitutes one of the most valuable agro-forestry contexts in the Lazio Region, Italy. It is a family run business of more than 500 years of history. Agricultural areas, uncontaminated nature and costal line, give life to a unique landscape variety, home to a biodiversity in which even wildlife finds an ideal habitat. A remarkable ecological corridor in which the continuity between different habitats favors the freshness and authenticity of our products.

“All the latest generation systems are equipped with thermal control and computerized control of the various working phases”.
Research & Development
For years, the Riserva Sant’Agostino has hosted professors, researchers and trainees from the University della Tuscia who carry out land management projects. Our latest project regarded agricultural precision. Together with the assistance of the University and the collaboration of Irritec Company, we installed water drippers for our new plantation of olive trees. Water drippers that helped us in reducing soil ingestion and root intrusion. A technological advance that guarantees maximum efficiency with least environmental impact.
This year the farm invested on a high-tech two-phase olive oil mill. The two-phase technology, does not use the addition of dilution water, in order to avoid the washout of the oil, preserving its most valuable aromatic parts, and to operate at low temperatures to obtain a high-quality product, rich in polyphenols. The body and the fruity aroma of the oil are greater and it improves the conservation of the oil because the polyphenols, excellent natural antioxidants, are not dispersed in the wastewater.
