With passion and love for the land, for 3 generations we have been working and cultivating rice from sowing to harvesting. Gloria rice was born in the extraordinary area of the upper Po Valley where the best qualities of Italian rice are grown.
Gloria rice undergoes semi-raw processing so that the full-bodied and consistent grain does not lose its nutritional properties, ensuring it has a unique flavour. Ideal for risottos.
Our Mission
The pride and commitment to producing better rice was born in via Alfieri 23 in Bianzè from the thoughts of Alberto, the youngest of the family, who has always pushed the idea of valorising and making the excellent product known to everyone: Gloria Rice.
The water with which we flood our rice fields is pure, very fresh, mountain water: pure spring waters flow from Mont Blanc which reach the plains, up to us and our rice fields, guaranteeing oxygen to our clayey soils which allow us to produce a unique rice of the highest quality.
Gloria undergoes semi-raw processing so that the grain does not lose its nutritional properties, ensuring a unique flavour.
We take care of our rice to deliver a unique product to you, our customers: that you too can take care of yourselves and those you care about, perhaps preparing a special dinner, in an atmosphere of affection and warmth.
The territory
Our Fraschea and Pulalla farms have been family-run for more than 3 generations and are located in the municipality of Bianzè located in the extraordinary area of the upper Po Valley; our lands border Leri, the house where Camillo Benso, Count of Cavour, was born, remembered and esteemed for his irrigation and reclamation works, primarily the Cavour Canal which crosses our rice fields.
The new brand “Alfieri 23” takes its name from the location where Alberto’s project came to life: via Alfieri 23 in Bianzè.
Cultivation
In the culture of a company there are the values of risk and resourcefulness, the taste for innovation, the ethics of responsibility, the pleasure of discovery and the desire to establish a new product and exit an old market.
In our company we have always focused on resourcefulness directed towards innovation with the aim of modernizing a traditional market.
Ethics, responsibility and will to affirm a rice of absolute excellence.
“ Today our cultivation techniques are modern and sustainable, capable of ensuring and satisfying the present generation.
