Torrefazione Bugella was founded in 2009 as an artisan laboratory with the aim based on the search for quality, freshness and craftsmanship. The name Bugella derives from the ancient name of the city of Biella, which has always been known for the quality of its products.
The variety of products offered, including blended and single-origin coffees, give to the consumer the opportunity to perceive during the tasting, the differences that characterize the coffees, by origin, variety and type of roasting. The search for raw coffees spans several continents, touching countries in South America, Africa and Central Asia. Those coffees are roasted individually or blended, with degrees of roasting suitable for each individual origin, respecting and enhancing their characteristics and organoleptic properties.
Right from the selection of the individual origins, to the design of the graphics, our productsí creation takes place in our factory and is the result of carefully studied original ideas. The different coffees are presented in various formats selected to ensure the highest quality. All our coffees are sealed in a modified atmosphere to ensure the best aromatic conservation. We also like to point out that the choice of metal packaging is made to preserve the properties of the product and because it is considered the most suitable to meet the needs of respect for the environment, as it is 100% reconvertible and does not produce residual waste.
The care and selection for the coffees have led us to achieve several victories in international contexts. Four gold medals won at the International Coffee Tasting, an international competition that rewards the best coffees among roasters from around the world; the first in 2018 with the Miscela Arabica 100 percento, two in 2020 with Miscela Arabica 200 percento and Arabica Kenia Top Grain, the last in 2021 with Miscela Arabica 300 percento. Other successes achieved are those of 2017 and 2018, when the Brussels commission of the International Taste & Quality Institute awarded Torrefazione Bugella for the quality of the “Bugella Blend” and “100% Arabica Blend” coffees.
